Pat Brown

Pat has been doing creative things most of her life, from interior decorating, needle arts, quilting and dressmaking. She only started painting when she became an "empty nester". It's never too late to try something new. She graduated from Colorado State in Merchandising, and also studied at the New Orleans Academy of Fine Art. She has been in many juried shows, and has won numerous awards over the years.

"Montrose is the perfect place to live because of my love of the outdoors, gardening and animals. These things are all reflected in my artwork. I enjoy working in several mediums, so it's hard to say I have a favorite --- maybe 3 favorites --- drawing, watercolor and oils."

Pat is a member in the Montrose Visual Arts Guild, and is active in the community art scene. She and her husband, Bob, retired to Montrose in 2003, and are the owners of "Around the Corner Art Gallery".
